CHILLICOTHE — A Chillicothe man was airlifted to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center Monday night following a single-vehicle crash on Mount Tabor Road.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Roger Williams II, 38, was southbound on the road shortly after 10:30 p.m. in a 2013 Ford Fusion when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck an tree. Williams was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, and the severity of his injuries was not specified by the patrol.

The patrol is investigating factors that may have led to Williams losing control.

The crash is the second single-vehicle incident in the past week on Mount Tabor Road. On Sept. 30, a woman and child were treated at Adena Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained when her car struck a tree after going out of control. Speed was believed to have played a role in that crash.
