Crime Stoppers seeks info on gun theft

NEWARK - Licking County Crime Stoppers has issued a news release offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in a gun theft in Newark.

The Newark Division of Police reported that between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, a Ruger pistol was taken from a parked car at an apartment complex on the first block of Danielle Drive, according to the statement.

Anyone with information on the crime is urged to call Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 888-488-9058.

A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
