OAK HARBOR  —  It's all about apples in Oak Harbor as the village hosts its 37th annual Oak Harbor Apple Festival this Saturday and Sunday.

With an expected attendance of 25,000 people, the two-day block-wide festival will kick off with the crowning of the 2015-16 royalty court at 9:30 a.m., followed by the cutest baby contest on Saturday morning.

The Grand Parade through the village begins at 2 p.m. with a kiddie tractor-pulling contest, bingo at the fire station and a talent show all for your entertainment.

Visitors browse fresh-picked apples at the annual Oak Harbor Apple Festival in 2014.

"Applepalooza" will feature live bands and plenty of drinks in the beer tent, all starting at 7 p.m. Saturday evening. Admission is $5 per person.

The second day of the festival will host a Classic Car Show, 5K Apple Run, One Mile Kid’s Run, and local performers to make for a day of pure enjoyment.

For more information about the festival, call the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce at 419-898-0479.
