Police log: Suspect steals refrigerator

Saturday

THEFT

• 10:58 a.m., a caller reported a refrigerator was stolen, 6900 block County Road 205.

VEHICLE THEFT

• 10:56 a.m., a caller reported his vehicle was stolen. Officers found the vehicle and told the caller it was abandoned and involved in a crash. The vehicle was towed and given back to the caller, 1300 block C.R. 268.

DISTURBANCE

• 8:44 a.m., a caller reported a man screaming at hotel staff after receiving his bill from his seven-day stay. Officers were unable to find the man or his vehicle, 3400 block Ohio 53.

CHARGED

•• Preston Burke, 23, of Norwalk, was charged with one felony count of violating parole.

• Ethan Johnson, 25, of Fremont, was charged with one felony count each of failure to appear, possession of drugs and failure to pay child support.

• Martez Smith, 33, of Lima, was charged with two felony counts of heroin possession.

• Donnie Swift, 26, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was charged with two felony counts of heroin possession.

DOG BITE

• 8:21 p.m., a caller reported being bitten on her left ankle by a loose dog, 1200 block Buckland Avenue.

Saturday

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

• 5:25 p.m., a caller reported being chased by a pit bull. The man was able to enter his home before the dog got a hold of him, 300 block Howland Street.

RECKLESS DRIVER

• 5:21 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly near Pine Street.

• 12:03 a.m., a caller reported finding a Red Rider BB Gun in the bush next to his home, 900 block Quail Drive.
