NEWARK — In the four years Donald Traylor has lived in his apartment, he's never had any issues.

That all changed Tuesday when Traylor came home to find his back door kicked in and his apartment on the 600 block of Glenbrook Drive ransacked.

"They threw everything everywhere," Traylor said. "Tore the beds apart, ripped the dresser drawers open."

The thieves even busted through the deadbolt lock on the back door.

"They bulldozed right on through," Traylor said.

A neighbor told Traylor and Newark police she saw two men wearing masks walking away from Traylor's apartment carrying some of his belongings. The theft occurred between noon and 2 p.m.

The men were described in the report taken by police as teenagers, one black and one white.

Traylor said two firearms, one of which was loaded, ammunition, a compound bow and arrows and a Xbox gaming system were stolen.

The incident remains under investigation.
