CHILLICOTHE – A teen was flown to a Columbus hospital after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on U.S. 23.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. as Nathaniel Gregory, 27, of Waverly was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on U.S. 23 when he lost control, crossed the center lanes and struck a 2014 Ford Mustang driven by Nicholas Bradley, 18, also of Waverly.

Bradley's passenger, Alana Perry, 18, of Chillicothe, had to be mechanically extracted from Bradley's vehicle and was flown to Grant Medical Center by Medflight. She was treated and later released.

Bradley was also transported to Grant Medical Center for treatment, but was taken by ground ambulance. Gregory was treated at Adena Regional Medical Center.

The crash closed both the northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 23 for about two hours to accommodate the arrival and departure of the medical helicopter.

The crash investigation was forwarded to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office for consideration of possible charges tied to the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.
