Cause of West Bedford fire under investigation

Staff Report

WEST BEDFORD – The cause of a fire that completely destroyed a vacant mobile home on Sunday is still under investigation.

The Walhonding Valley Fire Department responded around 3:15 p.m. to the village of West Bedford, about eight miles south of Warsaw, to a report of the fire.

No one was injured, but the mobile home on Township Road 51 was considered a total loss after flames engulfed it, according to the Walhonding Valley Fire Department.

Investigators are working to determine the cause and say the home was believed to be unoccupied. A monetary estimate of the damage was unavailable.

The Jackson Township Fire Department and the Three Rivers Fire Department were on standby until firefighters cleared the scene around 5 p.m. The Warsaw branch of the Coshocton County EMS also responded.
