Bret Michaels set to rock Lancaster

Poison's Bret Michaels tops this week's entertainment events as he comes to town Saturday at Mickey's Venue in Lancaster. But there are plenty of things to do for those not into rock music. Here's a look at this week's Best Bets:

Bret Michaels

Rocker Bret Michaels, best known as the lead singer for Poison, will be at Mickey's Venue around 9 or 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mickey's is located at 431 S. Columbus St. in Lancaster.

Four other bands are on the bill and will each play a 60-minute set starting around 3:30 p.m.

Doors for the outdoor show are scheduled to open at 2 p.m.

Live Music Saturdays at Rockside Winery

Brad Fuller will be at Rockside Winery and Vineyards from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Rockside is at 2363 Lancaster-Newark Road, Lancaster.

The Menus

The Menus will be at the Knights of Columbus Event Center at 8 p.m. Friday.

The center is located at 343 E. Walnut St. in Lancaster. Tickets are $16 in advance and $20 at the door.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and this is a 21-and-over show. Tickets can be purchased at the event center.

Beer Tasting at the Georgian Museum

The Georgian Museum will host a beer-tasting event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The beer will be matched with charcuterie platters, roasted vegetables, and artisan pizzas made on whole wheat crusts.

The Georgian Museum is located at 105 E. Wheeling St. in Lancaster.

Tickets are $30 for Fairfield Heritage Associated members and $35 for non-members. Buy them online at www.fairfieldheritage.org, call 740-654-9923 or visit the FHA office at the Georgian.

Kelly Vaughn

Kelly Vaughn will be at Square Seven coffee house from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Square Seven is at 150 W. Main St. in Lancaster.
