• F.R.A. Christmas lighting will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the township hall. Danny Yingling will play Christmas songs, there will be singing by the youth of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church and serving of cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. Santa Claus will arrive at 7 p.m. The F.R.A. will next meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the township hall.

• The Ya-Ya Card Club will meet at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church to travel to the Texas Roadhouse in Newark for its Christmas dinner.

• The Veterans Club will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hut.

• The Frazeysburg Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church. Sixteen members and guests from the club attends a Thanksgiving meal recently by the Muskingum County Lions Club at Primrose in Zanesville. The local club will have its annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Frazeysburg Elementary School, 120 E. Third St. Food will be served along with more than 50 tables of crafts, baked goods and more.

• Jackson Township Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the township hall.

• The Old School Marms shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 to 7 at 68 N. State St.

• A Christmas bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dresden Church of the Nazarene. There will be vendor tables and homemade food for sale. The church will have its household goods and personal care product giveaway from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the church.

• An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Irville Lodge 184 in Nashport.

• The second annual community dinner will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Frazeysburg Elementary School with Santa arriving by fire truck at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the dinner, which is expected to serve about 500 people.

Food donations

The Frazeysburg United Methodist Church 200th anniversary committee set a goal of collecting 200 canned food items for donation to the Frazeysburg Lions Club for inclusion in their food baskets. To date, the committee has collected more than 430 cans for the cause.
