Woman accused of firing gun, threatening man

LANCASTER — A 33-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested on misdemeanor charges after allegedly shooting a gun off at her South Roosevelt Avenue home Sunday afternoon.

Lancaster police responded to the home after a 32-year-old man told police that he had a gun pointed at him around 1 p.m. Sunday. The man said he went to the woman’s home to receive payment for construction work. The man said the woman then pulled a handgun on him, pointed it at him and told him to leave.

The man and two witnesses waiting in a nearby car said the man backed off the porch and heard a gunshot. Police talked to neighbors, but none of them heard a gunshot. The woman was arrested on misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and discharging a firearm in city limits. She was released on a recognizance bond until her initial court appearance.
