Boys Friday: Ridgedale at Colonel Crawford

Ridgedale: Very athletic. Likes to get out and run. Not very deep so early foul trouble could hurt them. Use defensive pressure and force turnovers. Would rather drive and score than settle for 3’s. Close out hands high and do not get beat off of the dribble.

Mo Britton, 5-11 guard, 17.7 PPG, 3.7 APG, 2.6 RPG, 4.7 TOPG
Can and will score in bunches. Do not let him get a rhythm. Loves to drive right and force fouls. 83 percent free throw shooter so do not foul. Can bury the long range shots; has made 29 3’s this season. Stay in front and use ball pressure.

Alex Elred, 6-4 forward, 15.2 PPG, 12.7 RPG, 1.8 BPG
Must know where he is every time a shot goes up. Tenacious rebounder with a nose for the ball. Gets a lot of put backs. Leads the N10 in boards. Not a huge threat from outside but will step back and shoot. 75 percent free throw shooter so do not foul.

Preston Burton, 6-2 forward, 12.9 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 4.3 APG
Very good passer. Will make you pay on blown defensive assignments. Will shoot the 3 but would prefer to put the ball on the floor. Very active on the boards.

Colonel Crawford: Prides itself on defense. Likes to use its athleticism to create turnovers and turn them into offense. Very streaky shooting team. If their 3’s are dropping, they are as good as any team in the area. Will be looking to hold teams to under 30 points.

Owen Adams, 6-1 guard, 17.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 2.9 APG, 2.1 SPG
Possibly the most athletic player in the N10. Is very active on defense and loves to get in passing lanes. Quick off of the dribble but can knock down the 3. Can handle pressure well and does not turn it over much. Can take over a game in a hurry.

Derek Burkhart, 5-9 guard, 10.3 PPG, 4.8 APG, 35% from 3
Ultimate game manager. Mainly a 3-point specialist who can really knock them down in a groove. Excellent passer and ball handler. 86 percent from the line and will handle the ball in crunch time to get to the line. Very good defender and will look for easy steals.

Brody Martin, 5-11 guard, 8.8 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 36% from 3
Young player with a very quick release. Can shoot it with the best and loves the 3. Has made 32 this season. Will not hesitate to shoot in transition. Another very quick and active player on defense.

Girls Saturday: Buckeye Central at Wynford

Buckeye Central: Defensive minded team that wants to create turnovers to get offense going. Call defense “32 minutes of havoc." Will fall in love with the 3-point shot. Very good free throw shooting team. Look to take advantage of their full court defense with players cheating up for steals.

Jenna Karl, 5-8 guard, 15.4 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 5.5 APG, 3.1 SPG
Heart and soul of the team. Very active in the front of the 1-3-1 defense. Excellent mid-range jumper. Can knock down the 3. Very good passer and rebounder. May be the most complete player in the area.

Haley Green, 5-9 guard, 12 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 32 3-pointers
Do not let her have an open look from 3. Superb at putting it on the floor and driving to the hoop. Another active player at the front of the 1-3-1 and loves to get steals. Constant motor. Rarely comes out of games.

Courtney Pifher, 5-10 post, 4.9 PPG, 2.9 RPG
Very good freshman. Team looks for her in the post when 3’s are not dropping. Sneaky good from deep as well and is not hesitant to shoot. Needs to be blocked out on every shot.

Wynford: Struggling lately but may have found themselves after an OT loss to Upper. Very balanced scoring attack. Team runs through the point guard and is a very good executing team. Very well coached and should be well prepared.

Gretchen Harris, 5-6 guard, 8.8 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 3.2 APG, 2.5 SPG
Offense runs through her. Very good off of the dribble and handles pressure well. Only takes the open 3 and would rather drive or find an open teammate. Is relied on at the end of games to take over.

Sarah Ogden, 5-11 post, 8.5 PPG, 11.1 RPG
Plays with a lot of passion. Can score with either hand. Loves to get the ball in the block, power dribble to either side and score. Tenacious on the boards and gets a lot of offensive rebounds. Need to be blocked out.

Jade Stuckman, 5-7 guard, 7.6 PPG, 3.4 RPG
Defensive specialist who loves to take on the challenge of guarding the other team’s best player. Quick feet and fast hands. Can also shoot the ball well. Has made 19 3’s this season and is dangerous on a hot hand.

Boys Saturday: Buckeye Central at Bucyrus

Buckeye Central: Super athletic but not particularly good at shooting the 3. Does most of its damage on the boards with second chance points. Executes well in the half court and plays good defense. Not a very deep team so running and gunning is not their thing.

Grant Loy, 6-4 guard/forward, 17 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 2.4 APG
Most athletic player on the floor. Jumps well and will dunk. Very good on the boards and limits teams to one shot. Can get out and run and handle the ball. Does not get into foul trouble often. Must be blocked out on every shot.

Jacob Shade, 6-2 forward, 14.8 PPG, 6.4 RPG
Excellent rebounder especially on the offensive glass. Will go to him on the block until you stop him. Likes to turn to his left shoulder. Does not step out for 3 often. Shoots 56 percent from the floor. Limit his touches.

Bucyrus: Young team that plays extremely hard. Starts sophomores and freshmen. Likes to crash the boards. Plays until the final buzzer.

Clinton Carr, 6-1 forward, 10.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG
Major presence on the offensive glass. Likes to dribble drive and draw fouls. Has made 50 free throws this season. Great athletic ability. Has a soft touch from mid-range but would rather drive to the basket. Doesn’t step out for 3 much.

Gram Dick, 5-10 guard, 5.8 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.5 APG
Runs the point often and protects the ball well. Left handed but can dribble with both. Has a nice pull-up jumper from the free throw line. Is really trying to be a facilitator early and a scorer later.
