Counterfeit bills circulate through city

CHILLICOTHE – Area businesses reported customers attempted to use counterfeit $20 bills Saturday.

According to the police reports, the bills were found at the North Bridge Street Tim Horton’s and the North Bridge Street Little Caesars.

The two female suspect who attempted to pay with a fake $20 bill at Little Caesars got away, according to the report. A woman contacted police at Tim Horton’s and said she had gotten a $20 counterfeit bill from Walmart and did not know it was fake until she attempted to pay for coffee at the restaurant.
