ICYMI: Johnson mentions Zach Farmer in HOF speech
PIKETON -- There's no question the story of former Piketon and Ohio State pitcher Zach Farmer battling leukemia has garnered a lot of interest.
But when newly elected Hall of Fame pitcher Randy Johnson stepped up to the microphone at his induction ceremony Sunday and gave Farmer a shout-out, it sent millions of baseball fans to their computers to find out the full story.

Houston sportscaster Cameron Cox's tweet about Johnson mentioning Farmer went viral, garnering more than 700 retweets and nearly 600 favorites in a little more than a day. You can check out the tweet, and the video of Johnson's mentioning of Farmer, below:
During his career, Johnson was known for his fastball and his general surliness with the media, but Sunday's speech was an 18-minute discussion of many things, but not a lot about his personal accomplishments. Instead, Johnson talked about the Wounded Warriors program and others who helped him become a baseball great.
