Furry Friend: Hendren needs special treatment and love

Hendren came to the Licking County Humane Society from the home of a hoarder. The small mixed breed weighs only 12 pounds and is being treated for demodex mange. LCHS will send the medication home with Hendren if he is adopted before the skin condition clears up and pay for his follow-up visit (with our vet) to ensure that the mange is all clear. Hendren also had bladder stones, which have been removed and he is doing great. Hendren will be on a special diet forever to reduce the likelihood of him having bladder stones in the future.

This boy has been through a lot and just needs a family to love him. When he goes out for a walk, he jumps straight in the air with excitement. He loves other dogs and seems to get along well with everyone he meets, though he can be a tiny bit shy at first. Hendren would make a wonderful companion for any family.

Canine adoption fees are $165.
