Police log: Pitbull mix attacks another dog

CIVIL COMPLAINT

• 6:56 p.m., a juvenile reported that he and his brother had mowed the neighbor’s yard but the neighbor was refusing to pay in full for the work; upon talking with police, the neighbor gave the remaining payment to an officer, who then gave it to the previously unpaid brother, 1900 block of East Harbor Road, Portage Township.

DOG AT LARGE

• 5:08 p.m., a woman reported that while walking her dog another dog, a pitbull boxer mix, came from around a residence and attacked her 15-month-old dalmatian, which sustained two bite wounds that the owner said did not look serious but would be checked with a vet, 900 block of East Hickory Grove Road, Portage Township.

• 12:45 p.m., a caller reported checks being stolen and requested that a report be written about it, 500 block East Third Street.

DISTURBANCE

• 1:53 a.m., a caller reported people outside being loud and officers advised that they did not hear any loud music or noise coming from the area, 1100 block of Fremont Road.
