CHILLICOTHE — A fire that caused damage to a garage, truck and camper Monday outside a home on East Second Street is being investigated and considered a possible arson, according to investigators.

Chillicothe Fire Department

Chillicothe Fire Department Captain Noel Akers said they responded to a fire in the 600 block of East Second Street at about 9:41 p.m. An investigator on the scene confirmed that the fire is a suspected arson.

Akers said a Ford truck, camper and about a third of a garage at the residence was damaged. The investigator's "rough first estimate" of damage is $50,000.

No one was injured, but residents were reportedly home at the time crews responded to the scene.
