Docile Roxy is sociable and looking for a home

Roxy is an approximately 3-years-old female Pug and Beagle Mix weighing 15 pounds. Her eyes are beautiful and expressive, making her a really charming girl with a beautiful fawn coat. Roxy is docile, but sociable. She’s gentle and walks well on a leash.

The Newark Advocate will be profiling a dog a day in October from the Licking County Animal Shelter in honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

Adoption fees include current vaccines and preventive care and spay or neuter procedure. New from the shelter is added microchipping included in adoption fees and additional health insurance at no charges for 30 days after adoption.

Shelter hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
