Zanesville man identified in Friday stabbing on Pine St

ZANESVILLE — An 18-year-old man has been charged in relationship to a stabbing that occurred Friday near Pine Street.

Kaisean M. Kennedy, 518 Spangler Drive, faces one count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

Authorities suspect Kennedy of stabbing another man during an altercation about 9:45 p.m. on Friday on at 789 Pine St that carried over to Nancy Avenue. Police said the suspect reportedly stabbed the victim twice in the back.

The victim was alert at the time he was taken to Genesis Hospital.

Kennedy is in the city jail on a $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
