Prospect Village Council

PROSPECT – Prospect Village Administrator Ken Blue reported the village blacktopping has been completed. The remaining streets will be addressed next year.

He reported that the frequent rains have delayed the pick up of brush. Mayor Jim Millisor questioned if there should be a charge to pick up large branches of trees.. It costs the village but some residents have no other way to dispose of branches brought down by storms. Council was asked to consider how to solve the problem. It was noted that residents need to know where items such as tires, batteries and paint can be disposed of.

Blue also reported that when the new building is built for storage of vehicles the drainage issues will be addressed. He also reported that spraying for mosquitoes has been done on a regular basis.

The success and praise of the July 4th festivities was unanimous.

The Battle Run Fire District and the Prospect Lions Club share in the profit.

It was reported that Attorney Kevin Collins is still working on the proposed rental of a room in the village offices building.

Council's next meeting is set for Aug. 3.
