Go4Life to offer health scans, healthy lunch

OAK HARBOR — Ottawa County Senior Resources and Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus are celebrating “Go4Life” month on Sept.17. The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the multipurpose room at Riverview campus. Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.

The program will feature county health care providers offering free health screenings, which include: Magruder Hospital’s DEXA Scan which measures bone health, the Ottawa County Health Department offering blood pressures, Riverview Healthcare Campus offering blood sugars, ProMedica Home Health offering medication teaching and BMI, Ottawa County OSU Extension offering derma scan, which detects possible sun damage to skin, and Ottawa County Senior Resources conducting nutrition risk assessments.

At 11 a.m., staff members from the Riverview Rehab Clinic will lead an exercise program for the group. At noon, Sarah Moore, Certified Holistic Health Coach, will discuss ‘Healthy Living” while a healthy lunch is served. A $3 donation may given for lunch. Reservations are required.
