The winning boy was Lance McClellan. Second place winner was Dominic Tipton and third place went to William Richardson. In the girls rounds, Rachael Willison took first place, Monica Taylor took second place, and Sarah Knight took third place. There were six girls and 18 boys playing in this year’s tournament.

The two first-place marble winners will travel to Wildwood, N.J. the week of June 21 to compete at “Ringer Stadium” for crowning of the 2015 National Champions, according to a news release announcing the winners.

These games help teach boys and girls 7 thru 14 how to compete in the skilled game of Ringer. Competitors are also taught good sportsmanship. The winners will meet with other city, county or state tournament winners from around the United States who will all converge in Wildwood for a week of marble competition and fun on amusement rides and boardwalk attractions. Top winners at the national tournament will receive scholarships for games won and also awards for good sportsmanship.

Chief Tarhe Cub Scout Pack 240 under the leadership of Kevin Coopperrider, Tom Russo, and Brooks Rice presented the flag prior to the beginning of the games. Anne Hart Kiphen led all in singing our National Anthem. Local sponsors contributed to this event and make it possible to provide funds for the winners and their family to attend the 92th Annual National Marbles Tournament.
