Perfect predictions abound in Rich’s Picks

Week 6 of the 2015 football season will not go down in the annals of history as one of the most competitive weeks of Ohio high school football.

There were a couple good games but few true surprises, as evidenced by last week’s Rich’s Picks.

Through the first five weeks there had only been one player to go a perfect 10-for-10 in predictions and just 18 entries of 9-of-10.

Last week, however, saw six perfect entries and another 11 players correctly hit on 9-of-10. I was one of the 9-for-10 crowd, having selected Georgia to beat Alabama, despite three years of living in the Peach State and knowing better than to trust the Dawgs in a big game.

I certainly let a 10-for-10 slip through my fingers.

Those who did not, who correctly predicted all of last week’s action, included Tim Martikan and Steve Pfefferle, both of Fremont, Gibsonburg’s Jay Morelock, Helena’s Mark Reiter and Rick Golden, of Inverness. News-Messenger sports correspondent Josh Morgret also scored a 10-for-10, but admitted he only took Alabama to be different than me. You’re welcome, Josh.

Let’s leave an underwhelming Week 6 in the past and look ahead to Week 7.
