Ohio 37 crash sends one to the hospital

WALNUT TOWNSHIP – A Lancaster man was taken to the hospital after he crashed his vehicle on Ohio 37 Saturday.

John E. Mowery, 30, of Lancaster, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo south on Ohio 37 at 9 a.m. in Walnut Township when he went left of center, crossed the oncoming lane and went off the left side of the highway, according to a Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office report.

The vehicle went into a ditch and struck a culvert before coming to a stop.

Mowery was taken by Walnut Township medics to Fairfield Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Mowery was cited for failure to control.
