Dublin Jerome (0-1) at Lancaster (1-0)

In 2014: The Golden Gales were 7-3; The Celtics were 4-6.

Last meeting: N/A

Radio: WLOH (104.5-FM); WFCO (90.9-FM).

Of note: The Golden Gales opened the season with an impressive win against DeSales, and defensively, the Gales were outstanding, limiting the Stallions to only five first downs. Lancaster’s ground game also was solid, but the Gales will have to cut down on the three turnovers they committed.

Meigs (1-0) at Amanda-Clearcreek (1-0)

In 2014: The Aces were 6-5; the Marauders were 5-5.

Last meeting: N/A

Of note: Senior running back Jordan Leasure picked up where he left off last season by rushing for 202 yards and a career-high five touchdowns in the Aces’ first-week win against Lakewood.

Bexley (1-0) at Bloom-Carroll (1-0)

In 2014: The Bulldogs were 4-6; The Lions were 8-3.

Last meeting: N/A

• Radio: WFCO (90.9-FM, digital delay).

Of note: The Bulldogs couldn’t have asked for a better start in their opening game. It more than likely will be a lot tougher this week against a Lions team that qualified for the playoffs in 2014.

Grandview Heights (1-0) at Berne Union (1-0)

In 2014: The Rockets were 1-9; the Bobcats were 9-3.

Last meeting: N/A

Of note: The Rockets got a big win last week, and it should give them plenty of confidence. They will need it against the Bobcats, who qualified for the playoffs in 2014.

Liberty Union (0-1) at Columbus East (0-1)

In 2014: The Lions were 7-4; the Cowboys were 1-9.

Last meeting: N/A

Of note: After taking a 3-0 lead in Week 1 against Caldwell, the Lions were shut out the rest of the way. East gave up 49 points last week in a loss to Briggs. The Lions need to find some offense.

Fisher Catholic (0-1) at Portsmuth Sciotoville (1-0)

In 2014: The Irish were 3-7; the Tartans were 5-5.

Last meeting: N/A

Of note: Too many mistakes cost the Irish in their opening loss at Paint Valley. The Irish need to right the ship in a hurry as they make the long trip to Portsmouth.

Fairfield Union (1-0) at Johnstown (1-0)

In 2014: The Falcons were 2-8; the Johnnies were 8-3.

Last meeting: Johnstown won 26-0 in 2014.

Of note: The Falcons played solid defense in their opening win, but they will need to find some offense and try to slow down the Johnnies’ rushing attack.

Franklin Furnace Green (1-0) at Millersport (0-1)

In 2014: The Lakers were 7-3; the Bobcats were 1-8.

Last meeting: Millersport won 47-0 in 2014.

Of note: After trailing 21-6, the Lakers came back to take the lead in the third quarter in their opener, but they couldn’t hang on. Being at home this week should help Millersport.

Canal Winchester (0-1) at Big Walnut (0-1)

In 2014: The Indians were 1-9; the Eagles were 7-3.

Last meeting: Big Walnut won 30-14 in 2014.

Of note: Both teams lost tough opening games, with the Indians falling to Groveport, 14-10, and the Eagles losing a heartbreaker to Mansfield, 20-19.

Fairfield Christian (0-1) at Hardin Northern (1-0)

In 2014: The Knights were 1-9; the Polar Bears were 4-6.

Last meeting: N/A

Of note: The Knights didn’t do much right in their Week 1 loss against Rosecrans, and they will be on the road again, facing a stiff test against the Polar Bears, who won their opener, 54-8.
