Advocate staff report

NEWARK – An Air Evac helicopter was called to transport a male after a three-story fall Monday afternoon.

According to scanner traffic, the patient fell between 20 and 25 feet from a building in the 1200 block of Executive Drive West just after 4 p.m. Scanner traffic indicated the patient was conscious but had an open head wound.

Newark Division of Fire personnel set up a landing zone at John Clem Elementary School. A Newark fire spokesman confirmed later Monday the patient was taken to Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center.
