Piketon town hall meeting moved to Sept. 9

PIKETON – The date for a town hall meeting designed to rally support for cleanup money at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant has been changed.

The meeting will now be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Pike County Government Center, 230 Waverly Plaza, next to the Kroger store.

The public is invited to help mobilize the community against the financial cuts to the cleanup project, which will put more than 500 jobs in jeopardy.
