Marion Public Library plans summer programs

MARION – The Marion Public Library’s story times and Teen Tuesday are taking a break this week, but the Summer Reading Celebration will kick-off the library’s summer programing from10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. June 6. There will be crafts, games, activities and live music. There will also be an opportunity to register for the Summer Reading Club to earn prizes and books while reading over the summer.

After the kickoff party, there will be a chance to find out about the library’s summer programs and activites including school age crafts, story times, Teen Tuesdays and the Be a Hero family fun nights.

The library’s BookMarks group will have a book sale June 12-14 at the library with a members-only preview on June 11. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call the library at 740-387-0992 for details.
