Celebrate the Fourth at Fresno Farmers’ Market

Julia Brown

Our founding fathers set aside this Fourth of July holiday as a celebration of our independence. What better way to kick off your celebration than to come visit the Fresno Farmers’ Market in the heart of downtown Fresno, just turn right by the old Fresno School bell memorial and let freedom ring.

Your vendors have an outstanding assortment of fresh local produce, homemade baked goods, handcrafted items, herbs, flowers, fresh brown eggs, local honey, maple syrup and so much more. It really is a feast for the eyes and all of your senses as you make your way along the alley from vendor to vendor. The farm to table freshness is truly something to celebrate.

Why not take the work out of your picnic plans and let the Fresno Market supply all your picnic needs, everything from sandwiches, desserts and fresh veggies to the candles for on your picnic table to the salve for on your bug bites. You can find it all in downtown Fresno.

The old saying being “knee high by the Fourth of July” in reference to the sweet corn growth, would better be described as chest high this Fourth of July, from all the recent rain. Either the case when sweet corn time rolls around you can bet that the Fresno Market will have a great selection, so keep “your ears open” for when it is ready. As always we enjoy and look forward to meeting and supplying your farm market needs.
