Police searching for man after break-in on Glenbrook

NEWARK – Police are searching for a man who reportedly entered a home on the 600 block of Glenbrook Drive and fled through the back door.

A 24-year-old woman called 911 around 2:40 p.m. to report that a man with a knife had come into her home, cut her and then left through the back door. She told the dispatchers there were four children in the home but that no one was seriously injured.

The Newark Division of Police K-9 unit and detectives responded to the scene.

Detective Sgt. Scott Snow said the K-9 unit was called off after the dogs lost the scent. Newark police said they do not have a suspect at this time.
