50th Annual German-American Festival

Open Mic Night with David Lester

When: 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 27.

Tickets: No admission fee. Lester is a vocalist and guitarist.

Singer/Songwriter Lounge with The Hoke Brothers

When: 8 p.m. Friday.

Where: Sandusky State Theatre, 107 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

Broken Horn Rodeo

Friendship Food Stores 5th Annual Poker Run

When: 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Where: Margaritaville in Sandusky.

Highlights: Register and purchase a $20 wristband by Friday at participating stores. Cost is $25 on Saturday. Raffles, music, food and a $10,000 grand prize. Easton Corbin Concert

Highlights: Tickets are $15, $22, $28 and under 36 inches free. Country music concert. Clark Manson opens for Corbin.

Premier of ‘Half Life’

When: 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Where: Fremont Paramount Cinema, 301 South St., Fremont.

Highlights: Doors open at 11 a.m. Clyde native Erika McGrath, now of Brooklyn, New York, debuts a film she wrote and directed staring Clyde talent. It’s a coming of age story set in 1980.

Spiegel Grove Squires

When: 2 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Hayes Presidential Center, at Spiegel Grove, Fremont.

Highlights: The Squires, a 1860s baseball team, has its last home game of the season. They play the Wyandotte Stars of Wyandotte, Michigan. Admission is free.

North Coast Concert Band

When: 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Where: Hayes Presidential Center, Hayes Home verandah at Spiegel Grove, Fremont.

Highlights: The concert is rescheduled as it was previously rained out. There is an ice cream social at 6:45 p.m. Admission is free. Those attending should bring a chair. Visit www.rbhayes.org.
