Softball: Late comeback fuels Electrics

Staff report

CROOKSVILLE – Philo wasn't getting much done for six innings on Monday.

The Electrics were held to one run by Crooksville's Jalynn Summerville, who shut them out for four innings before the visitors caught life.

Trailing 2-1, Philo loaded the bases with no outs and scored six times to pull away for a 7-2 win in the Muskingum Valley League.

Mallory Hill's grand slam was the big blow in the seventh, but it was consecutive singles by Regan Tom and Charlea Revennaugh with the bases loaded that tied it and sent Philo (8-9, 7-6 MVL) ahead, respectively.

Tom also pitched a complete game, collecting two strikeouts with one walk while allowing no earned runs. She also finished with two singles.

Revennaugh added three singles.

Lauren Rambo, Keely Thomas and Jade Thompson had two singles and Laonna Davis an RBI single for Crooksville (10-8, 5-8), which scored twice in the sixth to take the lead.
