Police Calls: Burning feces left on porch

200 block of West Fourth Street - A woman told police Saturday night she heard a knock at the door and when she went to answer it she discovered a small paper bag containing dog feces on fire on her front porch. The woman did not see a culprit, but told police she was having ongoing issues with neighbors.

500 block of Bowman Street - The county dog warden was contacted after a pit bull dog charged at emergency responders Sunday.

1200 block of Walker Street - A Star Shower laser light was reported stolen from a front yard Sunday.

1100 block of Wyandotte Avenue - Police responded to a reported of an unresponsive male Sunday morning. The 30-year-old man was given Narcan and taken to the hospital. The man's girlfriend said the man might be a heroine user. A small bottle of suspected posh was found outside the residence. Several children were in the residence, so children's services was contacted, The man was found to have warrants out of Ashland and was left in the care of Ashland Police Department.

1500 block of West Fourth Street - Tires and wheels were reported stolen from a vehicle Sunday.

First block of West Second Street- A 51-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence Saturday after a breath test found his blood alcohol level to be 0.295 during a traffic stop. He also was wanted on a warrant.

300 block of West Third Street - A 26-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a syringe and crack pipe in her vehicle. The woman had been stopped because she was driving under suspension.

200 block of Park Avenue West - Police were called to break up a bar fight involving approximately 20 patrons at MVP's Sportsbar and Grill. When the group causing the disturbance discovered police had been called, they took the argument into the parking lot and then left.

Mansfield - Police responded Saturday to a domestic violence call and found a husband and wife who had been fighting. The woman reported her husband knocked her to the ground and choked her. The husband denied the accusation, but a neighbor reported witnessing him strangling his wife. The husband was arrested.

300 block of McPherson Street - A woman told police she saw a driver struck a ground wire and drive away Saturday. Ohio Edison responded to the scene to fix the wire.
