Malawi Orphan Care Project is accepting shoe donations

MANSFIELD – The Malawi Orphan Care Project is accepting donations of new and gently used shoes for children and teens ages 18 months through 18 years. The shoes will be taken to Malawi this summer as part of an international mission team through Malawi Orphan Care Project. The shoes will be given to orphans who don't have shoes or who have shoes that are worn out.

Most children in Malawi do not have shoes, which can lead to serious foot injuries and infections since most of the children do not have access to adequate medical care.

Collection boxes are at First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Avenue West; Crowe's Shoes, 56 N. Main St., and at 308 Fit and Fierce, 305 E. Main St., Lexington.
