FREMONT – A city man will spend eight years in prison for his involvement in burglaries last year across Sandusky and Ottawa Counties, a judge ruled Thursday.

Jason Ohms, 34, also must pay $2,802.50 in restitution to the victims, Judge Barbara Ansted ordered in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court.

Ohms and Donald McKeever, 32, were charged with breaking into homes and stealing electronics, guns, coins, jewelry and more.

Ohms pleaded guilty to five counts of burglary and one count of breaking and entering, all felonies.

McKeever's case is still pending.
