Parks to speak at Bryan’s Place

ZANESVILLE – Former Zanesville, Rosecrans and Maysville head football coach Whit Parks will speak during the Nelson Gant Foundation annual brunch on June 13, at Bryan’s Place.

Parks will be leaving town after accepting the head football coaching position at Fort Loramie High School.

Parks started his head coaching career in 1975 at Danville and spent time leading Zanesville (1984-90, 94-98), Rosecrans (1991-93) and most recently, Maysville (2008-12).

He has earned multiple honors, including the Division II Ohio Coach of the Year in 1997, an eight-time conference and district coach of the year and a seven-time regional coach of the year. Parks was also recently inducted into the first class of the Muskingum County Forever Dads Hall of Fame.
