Police Log: Duo steal $600 worth of Blu-Rays for heroin

ARREST

•4:29 p.m., a 25 year-old Sandusky woman and a 25 year-old Sandusky man were arrested after allegedly stealing $632.42 worth of Blu-Rays from Wal-Mart on E. Harbor Road and fleeing in a white Ford Explorer. The woman had a felony warrant through the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. The man said he stole the items to pay for heroin so he could get through his work day. The subjects were apprehended by Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies, State Route 2 and State Route 250, Erie County.

IDENTITY THEFT

•4:09 p.m., a woman said a local church’s debit card had 21 unauthorized charges on it. She canceled the card and ordered a new one, 200 block of S. Gill Road, Portage Township.

•6:52 p.m., a man said he was attempting to evict a tenant and was having problems with several juveniles in the area who were carrying baseball bats. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office asked an officer to standby until they arrived, 2000 block of E. State Road, Portage Township.

THEFT

1:50 p.m., a woman said she saw what appeared to be her daughter’s stolen teal Mongoose bicycle on a front porch at another residence, 100 block of E. Twelfth St.

IDENTITY FRAUD

•12:01 p.m., a caller said she wanted to speak to an officer about a possible identity theft, 1200 block of E. Third St.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT

•7:18 a.m., a caller said they would like to file a report regarding phone harassment, 300 block of W. Fourth St.
