Structures, turf, next on the renovation docket

PORT CLINTON – Renovations at True-Lay Stadium are on schedule for the facility to open Aug. 1 as most of the ground work is complete.

“We are really pleased,” Port Clinton City School District Superintendent Pat Adkins said about the progress of the renovation. “We are 90 percent done with underground work.”

While the stadium may look flat, Adkins said, the field turf will be installed soon, and lighting will be completed within the next two to three weeks.

The project is scheduled to finish in time for the fall sports season. The football and soccer teams will be the first to play in the updated facility.
