FREMONT – A Clyde woman on Monday denied being involved in the severe beating of a man who was robbed in March at the woman's apartment.

Amber Forman, 25, pleaded not guilty in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court to one felony count each of complicity to felonious assault and tampering with evidence and one misdemeanor count of failure to report a crime.

Forman will have a pretrial at 11:30 a.m. June 3. Tim Braun, of Fremont, was appointed as her attorney.

Forman is charged in connection with the March 13 beating of Cory Corbin, 24, of Tiffin, who suffered a broken nose, broken ribs and a broken facial bone.

Two men who lived with Forman — Ryan Carson, 25, and Carson's younger brother, Royce Jewell, 17 — are charged with assaulting Corbin and stealing about $400 from him before dumping him at a city park.

Ryan Carson

Carson has pleaded not guilty to one count each of felonious assault and aggravated robbery. He has a pretrial at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Sandusky County Juvenile Court Judge Brad Smith will decide whether Jewell will be tried as an adult on the same charges.

Carson and Jewell were drinking at a Clyde bar with Corbin and offered to continue hanging out at their apartment, Corbin testified during a hearing last month.

After he was there, Carson, Jewell and two other men beat him up, took his money and two cellphones, made him change out of his bloody clothes, and then dumped him at the park, he testified.
