Fairfield County Common Pleas Sentences

Kevin Garten, 37, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a second-degree felony. On April 6, Garten was sentenced to two years in prison and six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Tracy Bayless, 42, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. On Dec. 11, Bayless was sentenced to 18 months in prison and to pay $2,000 in restitution to the victim. Judge Martin.

Benjamin Littleton, 40, of Logan, pleaded guilty to illegal manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children, both third-degree felonies. On April 16, Littleton was sentenced to 60 months in prison, with 24 months suspended in lieu of five years of community control; and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Brian Gates, 45, The Plains, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. On April 3, Gates was sentenced to 12 months in prison and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Jeremy A. Heck, 26, of Pleasantville, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On April 13, Heck was sentenced to 11 months in prison, suspended in lieu of community control. Judge Berens.

Brea Hall, 20, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility, a fourth-degree felony. On March 6, Hall was sentenced to 17 months in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of community control. Judge Trimmer.

Jeffrey A. Lemay, 40, of Hebron, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. On March 11, Lemay was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended in lieu of up to five years of community control; and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Pedro Torres-Illan, 29, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to trafficking in heroin and aggravated trafficking, both third-degree felonies; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. On Jan. 14, Torres-Illan was sentenced to 66 months in prison, with 48 months suspended in lieu of five years of community control, and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Tammy S. Allton, 35, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. On March 9, Allton was sentenced to 24 months in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of community control. Judge Trimmer.

Stephanie M. Schwader, 40, of Pleasantville, pleaded guilty to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony. On March 9, Schwader was sentenced to 36 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control, and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Lawrence E. Stevenson Jr., 24, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. On Jan. 30, Stevenson was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended in lieu of community control. Judge Berens.

Deron Elliot, 30, address unavailable, was convicted of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. On Jan. 22, Elliot was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Kasey M. Steinwender, 24, of Millersport, pleaded guilty to amended charges of aggravated trespass and two counts of petty theft, first-degree misdemeanors. On March 12, Steinwender was sentenced to 180 jails, with 135 suspended in lieu of community control. Judge Trimmer.

Kyley J. Nicolia, 36, of Carroll, pleaded guilty to theft, a fifth-degree felony. On March 17, Nicolia was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Nicolia was also ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution to the victim. Judge Trimmer.

Kelly Neal, 41, of Circleville, pleaded guilty to theft and six counts of forgery, all fifth-degree felonies. On April 6, Neal was sentenced to 42 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Micah Taylor, 34, of Crooksville, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. On Feb. 27, Taylor was sentenced to seven months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Brandon A. McGrother, 21, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony. On Feb. 12, McGrother was sentenced to 24 months in prison, suspended in lieu of 24 months of community control. Judge Trimmer.

Troy A. Seifert, 42, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in cocaine, fourth-degree felonies. On Dec. 19, Seifert was sentenced to 24 months in prison, suspended in lieu of community control; and a one-year driver's license suspension. Judge Martin.

Dean D. Kiger, 35, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony. On Feb. 24, Kiger was sentenced to 36 months in prison and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Brody L. McAfee, 32, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit felonious assault, a second-degree felony; assault, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On March 19, McAfee was sentenced to 66 months in prison, with 18 months suspended in lieu of community control. Judge Berens.

Rebel L. Brooks, 53, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to forgery, a fifth-degree felony. On March 30, Brooks was sentenced to 11 months in prison. Judge Berens.

Andre Brooks, 40, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary, a third-degree felony. On Feb. 18, Brooks was sentenced to 36 months in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of community control. Judge Trimmer.

William Perry, 30, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. On March 16, Perry was sentenced to 12 months in prison. Judge Trimmer.

Denvil Rose, 32, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. On March 9, Rose was sentenced to 12 months in prison. Judge Trimmer.

Austin M. Harrel, 21, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a first-degree misdemeanor. On April 14, Harrel was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Lawrence B. Stinnett, 41, of Pleasantville, was convicted of two counts of rape and three counts of kidnapping, all first-degree felonies; and three counts of gross sexual imposition, fourth-degree felonies. On April 13, Stinnett was sentenced to 34 years in prison. Judge Berens.

Keondrey Barbour, 19, of Canal Winchester, pleaded guilty to theft, a fifth-degree felony. On Jan. 30, Barbour was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of community control. Barbour was also ordered to pay $2,080 to the victim, Meijer. Judge Berens.

Michael S. Kitchen, 31, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony. On Feb. 13, Barbour was sentenced to 12 months in prison. Judge Trimmer.

Jarred Welsch, 25, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking in heroin, fourth-degree felonies; possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony; attempt to commit tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony; attempt to commit engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a third-degree felony; and trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony. On Jan. 30, Welsch was sentenced to 18 months in prison and a six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Martin.

Bryn A. Harris, 28, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or a combination of them, a fourth-degree felony, and unlawful operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Feb. 24, Harris was sentenced to one year in prison, with a mandatory 60 days in the Fairfield County Jail, and remaining sentence suspended in lieu of five years of community control; ordered to pay a $1,350 fine and $1,250 in restitution to victims; and five years and six-month driver's license suspension. Judge Berens.

Kyle D. Landfried, 34, of Carroll, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them, a third-degree felony. On Jan. 15, Landfried was sentenced to 48 months in prison; consecutive to mandatory 60-day jail term; pay $1,350 fine; and a 15-year driver's license suspension, plus six points to license. Judge Berens.

David W. Johns Jr., 40, of Hebron, pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony. On March 31, Johns was sentenced to 17 months in prison and a two-year driver's license suspension. Judge Trimmer.

Jordan L. Lemons, 21, of Pickerington, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. On April 20, Lemons was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended in lieu of community control; and ordered to pay $200 in court costs and $621 in restitution to victim. Judge Trimmer.

Christopher Schuyler, 34, of Lancaster, pleaded guilty to failure to register, a third-degree felony. On Jan. 22, Schuyler was sentenced to 36 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Benjamin Hoffman, 32, of Bremen, pleaded no contest to vehicular assault, a fourth-degree felony. On April 6, Hoffman was sentenced to 17 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control, and a five-year driver's license suspension. Judge Trimmer.

Nina L. Rodgers, 18, of Lakewood, pleaded guilty to seven counts of receiving stolen property, fifth-degree felonies; identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony; and petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. Rodgers was sentenced to four years and one month in prison; and ordered to pay a $350 fine and $404 in restitution.

Tina Payton, 51, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a third-degree felony. On April 2, Payton was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended in lieu of five years of community control. Judge Berens.

Fairfield County Common Pleas Indictments

Ramon J. Patts, 20, of Pickerington, was indicted on aggravated vehicular assault, a third-degree felony, and vehicular assault, a fourth-degree felony. Patts is accused of causing a fatal crash that killed one person on June 5.

Danial C. Sells II, 33, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a first-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony; and three counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies. Sells is accused of manufacturing methamphetamine with children present on or about Jan. 1 to April 14.

Sara M. Sells, 34, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a first-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony; and three counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies. Sells is accused of manufacturing methamphetamine with children present on or about Jan. 1 to April 14.

Cressy E. Robbins Jr., 35, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a first-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and three counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies. Robbins is accused of manufacturing methamphetamine with children present on or about Jan. 1 to April 14.

Matthew M. Jones, 29, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on April 11.

Shae L. Picklesimer, 25, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a first-degree felony; complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony; and three counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies. Picklesimer is accused of manufacturing methamphetamine with children present on or about Jan. 1 to April 14.

Tyler A. Paul, 23, of Groveport, was indicted on a bill of information on counts of possession of heroin and breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies. Paul is accused of possessing heroin on Jan. 12, 2014 and breaking into garages on Nov. 13, 2013.

Jamie L. McSorley, 23, of Columbus, was indicted on burglary, a third-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a first-degree misdemeanor. McSorley is accused of breaking into occupied structure on or about Oct. 17 to Oct. 18.

Charles J. Smyers, 43, of Lancaster, was indicted on possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Smyers is accused of possessing cocaine on March 2.

Shannon D. Mayle, 34, of Columbus, was indicted on two counts of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them, fourth-degree felonies. Mayle is accused of driving intoxicated on April 12 after receiving three prior violations in the last six years.

Christopher C. Venrick, 38, address unavailable, was indicted on 18 counts of unlawful use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway, all fifth-degree felonies. Venrick is accused of illegally using the database 18 different times in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Terry P. Moore, 35, address unavailable, was indicted on theft in office, telecommunications fraud and 16 counts of unlawful use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway, all fifth-degree felonies. Moore is accused of illegally using the database 16 times, some of which were allegedly for profit in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Charles C. McCoy, 35, of Lancaster, was indicted on complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony. McCoy is accused of being compliant in a crime of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility on or about March 29 to April 5.

Jaquel D. Gore, 27, of Lancaster, was indicted on complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony. Gore is accused of being compliant in a crime of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility on or about Jan. 23 to Jan. 24.

Joshua Lee, 27, of Lancaster, was indicted on complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony. Lee is accused of being compliant in a crime of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility on or about Jan. 12 to Jan. 24.

Dwanda S. Reese, 40, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility and complicity in the commission of an offense, both third-degree felonies. These charges stem from an incident on April 5.

Destin D. Reese, 22, of Columbus, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on April 5.

Autumn Stevens, 28, of Logan, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. Stevens is accused of possessing amphetamine on April 4.

Shonn A. Crist, 45, of Lancaster, was indicted on rape, a first-degree felony, and three counts of sexual battery, third-degree felonies. Crist is accused of raping a teen on or about Jan. 1 to March 2, 2014.

Jackie I. Imler, 30, of Lancaster, was indicted on two counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies, and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony. Imler is accused of assembling chemicals of the manufacture of meth with children present on or about Feb. 17 to March 31.

James J. Imler, 33, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal manufacture of drugs, a first-degree felony; illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; two counts of endangering children, third-degree felonies; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Imler is accused of manufacturing meth with children present on or about Feb. 17 to March 31.

Randy L. Thacker, 51, of Columbus, was indicted on domestic violence and intimidation of an attorney, victim or witness in a criminal case, third-degree felonies; assault and three counts of aggravated menacing, all first-degree misdemeanors. Thacker is accused of domestic violence after multiple prior convictions on March 27.

Destiny Travis, 18, of Columbus, was indicted on robbery, a second-degree felony. Travis is accused of robbing someone on March 29.

Lucas Davis, 35, of Lancaster, was indicted on two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of receiving stolen property, all fourth-degree felonies. Davis is accused of stealing a 1993 Ford pickup truck on March 26.

Sherry L. Sayre, 43, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, was indicted on possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin, both first-degree felonies. Sayre is accused of trafficking heroin on March 25.

Jonathan Fornwald, 34, of Columbus, was indicted on two counts of burglary, second-degree felonies; grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordinance, a third-degree felony; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; and petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. Fornwald is accused of stealing a semi-automatic rifle on or about Oct. 27 to Nov. 25.

Patricia L. Hanna, 46, of Lancaster, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Hanna is accused of possessing methamphetamine on Nov. 27.

Matthew Robertson, 35, of Pataskala, was indicted on possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Robertson is accused of possessing heroin on March 5.

John D. Cowman, 22, address unavailable, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on June 23.

Nicolas J. Cornell, 25, of Lancaster, was indicted on grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, and burglary, a third-degree felony. Cornell is accused of breaking into an occupied structure, stealing watches and jewelry on Dec. 23.

Damisha Jasmine Sherrer, 22, of Trotwood, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on Dec. 21.

Terri L. Lee, 47, of Dayton, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on Dec. 21.

Keenan Lee, 23, of Lancaster, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on Dec. 21.

Richard A. Nelloms Jr., 21, of Dayton, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on Dec. 21.

Darina S. Gavin, 22, address unavailable, was indicted on complicity in the commission of an offense, a third-degree felony. Gavin is accused of being complicit in a crime of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility on or about Oct. 5 to Oct. 11, 2013.

Tanya Akhtar, 27, of Dublin, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Akhtar is accused of possessing methamphetamine on April 12, 2014.

Jennifer A. Montgomery, 37, of Columbus, was indicted on illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony. This charge stems from an incident on Aug. 8.

Jerrod Wolfe, 29, of Lancaster, was indicted on two counts of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, third-degree felonies. These charges stem from incidents on Aug. 5 and Aug. 8.

Patrick D. Simpson, 47, of Clinton, S.C., was indicted on nine counts of identity fraud and eight counts of forgery, all fifth-degree felonies. Simpson is accused of stealing multiple people's identities on March 16.

Trishann Duncan, 32, of Lancaster, was indicted on assault, a fourth-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony. Duncan is accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer on March 6.

Mark V. Dixon, 30, of Columbus, was indicted on violating a protection order, a fifth-degree felony, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Dixon is accused of violating a protection order on March 15 while in the possession of a handgun. He was previously convicted or pleaded guilty to a similar charge in 2014.

Jeffrey S. Hamm, 54, of Lancaster, was indicted on two counts of aggravated murder and two counts of murder, all unspecified felonies; kidnapping, a first-degree felony; two counts of aggravated robbery, first-degree felonies; robbery, a second-degree felony; three counts of tampering with evidence, third-degree felonies; and gross abuse of a corpse, a fifth-degree felony. Hamm is accused of killing his wife on or about Jan. 26.
