Baltimore church to host steak dinner

BALTIMORE – The Baltimore United Methodist Church steak dinner is always a favorite with the community and features a wonderful homemade dinner with all the fixings as well as homemade desserts.

Enjoy dinner at the church, or carry-out available. The menu include steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, vegetables, cole slaw, rolls, beverage and dessert.

Cost of the dinner is $9 for adults, $4 for children 5 through 10 and, and free for children under 5. Dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 7. The church is at 200 W. Market St., Baltimore. For more information call 740-862-4614.

Concealed carry class

A concealed carry class will be held June 20 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3761. The class includes six hours of NRA Basic Pistol Course and two hours of Ohio Concealed Carry Information. The class will start at 8 a.m. and end by 4:30 p.m. Participants will be required to bring 72 rounds of ammunition, eye/hearing protection and a pen or highliter. Lunch will be available at VFW. Bring your own drinks and snacks.

Cost of the class is $75. A $40 deposit is required. Registration is required by June 1 by calling 614-402-5070. The post is at 2155 Reynoldsburg-Baltimore Road, Baltimore.

BDRC Uncorked

The Baltimore Downtown Restoration Committee will host its annual “Uncorked: A Wine and Beer Tasting Event!” from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at VFW Post 3761. Enjoy selections of Ohio bBeers from Homestead Beer Co. and Buckeye Lake Brewery. There will be wines from Camelot Cellars, Sand Hollow, Rockside Vineyard and Buckeye Lake Winery.

Tickets are $15 for four drink tokens. Additional tokens are six for $5 or $1 each. Pint and wine glasses with a commemorative logo, filled, will be sold for $10 each, or purchase one before you leave for $5.

There will be a silent auction and photo booth. Proceeds will go to the restoration of the opera house in Baltimore. For more information, call 614-450-0237.
