The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the three men, Nelson Martinez, 25, of Whitehall; Sean Snoke, 25, of Lancaster; and Chase Carlisle, 22, of Lancaster, were all driving east on Refugee Road when Martinez, in a Mitsubishi Lancer, stopped at Pickerington Road to make a left turn. Snoke's motorcycle hit the car, and Carlisle lost control of his motorcycle, hitting a guardrail.

Snoke was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where he died of his injuries, police said. Carlisle was taken to Fairfield Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and Martinez was taken to Ohio Health Medical Facility with minor injuries.

Snoke and Carlisle were not wearing helmets, the patrol reported. The patrol also said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
