Pike water service restored, boil advisory issued

Ohio

WAVERLY Pike Water Inc. officials Friday afternoon said water service to the western end of Pike County had been restored following a disruption but that a boil advisory would be in effect for 24 to 48 hours.

A break in a six-inch water main near Idaho was the cause of the outage. The impacted area included Beavers Ridge and Morgan’s Fork roads as well as around Latham and Ohio 124.

The boil advisory is in effect for Ohio 124 in the Idaho area, Morgan’s Fork Road and households in the Latham area down to the Kincaid area. Officials said customers will be notified by phone of the lifting of the advisory for those who provided phone numbers.
