PORT CLINTON – This year’s Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council Appetite for the Arts, set for Aug. 14 to 16, will take place in the hangar connected to the Liberty Aviation Museum at the Port Clinton International Airport.

During the Propellers & Paint gala and silent auction, from 6 to 11 p.m., partygoers can be the first to browse artist booths featuring painting, metals, jewelry, sculpture, photography and more. There will be food from 1812 and Cielo Grande Tapas restaurants, and music by the Mike Lorenz Trio featuring Evelyn Wight.

Tickets are $50 for the gala and will be available online through ottawacountyarts.org and locally at the Keith A Fleming Gallery, Real Living Morgan Realty Group, Mary’s Blossom Shoppe and Bassett’s.

“People had such a great time at last year’s Appetite for the Arts that they’re already ordering tickets,” said event co-chair Keith Fleming. “This year’s event will be even more memorable.”

“The best part is that the fun doesn’t stop Friday evening,” added event co-chair Jeff Morgan. “Propellers and Paint kicks off a great weekend of art and special activities for all ages in the hangar at the museum.”

The Appetite for the Arts event is Aug. 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be free and open to the public. In addition to all the artists’ booths, children may participate in the Children’s Art Experience and the EAA 1247 Pancake Breakfast, on Aug. 16.
