For the record: Caller says man grabbed crotch

EXPLOSION

• 3:12 a.m., Sandusky County fire and emergency medical service workers were called to an explosion of whose nature was not identified in a basement, 100 block of Sandusky County Road 173, Sandusky Township. A person who was home at the time was not hurt.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

• 9:24 a.m., a caller reported two people were throwing bricks through vehicle windows after they got into a domestic dispute, 1700 block of Sandusky County Road 213, Green Creek Township.

FREMONT POLICE

DISTURBANCE

• 1:32 p.m., a caller reported a man asked him for a ride and then grabbed his crotch when he told the man he could not give him a ride, 400 block of May Street. The caller also said the man had a shovel in his hand. When police arrived, the man said he did not harass anyone and that he was shoveling snow.

ARRESTED

• 2:50 p.m., a 18-year-old Fremont man was arrested on a bench warrant, Franklin Avenue and Miller Street.

• 3:30 p.m., a 31-year-old Fremont man was arrested at Fremont Municipal Court, 300 block of South Front Street. Police did not specify why the man was arrested.

THEFT

• 4:06 p.m., a caller reported a game system, hand tools and other items were taken from his home, 700 block of East State Street.

CHARGED

• 9:27 p.m., a 58-year-old Fremont man was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia after police received a report of a suspicious vehicle, 300 block of Sandusky Avenue.

BELLEVUE POLICE

• 6:40 p.m., a 50-year-old Bellevue man was charged with theft after an employee at Bassett’s gas station reported he tried to write a bad check and then took items and ran when the employee would not take the check, 200 block of West Main Street.

THEFT

• 8:21 a.m., a caller reported a shoplifter at Ace Hardware, 200 block of Main Street.
