ZANESVILLE – A 35-year-old man arrested after a drug raid at a Linden Avenue house pleaded guilty to seven charges.

Mark A. Vohs

Mark A. Vohs, of Zanesville, faces five felonies and two misdemeanors after authorities executed a search warrant in early May at his home at 982 Linden Ave. He was arrested after a four-month joint investigation by local authorities.

Vohs appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court on Monday to change his not guilty pleas to guilty. He was represented by his attorney Jeremy McLendon.

Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Court documents list James A. Wade as Vohs' co-defendant. Wade, 31, of 1063 Putnam Ave., was arrested May 16 and also appeared in court Monday, where he pleaded guilty to three felonies of trafficking in drugs.

Wade waived his right to a pre-sentence investigation, and Cottrill sentenced him to 30 months in prison. He was also fined $5,000.

Wade was charged with three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, two fourth-degree felonies and one third degree-felony with a juvenile specification.

Vohs' arrest came after an investigation by the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office, the Zanesville Police Department and the Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Residents on Linden Avenue made numerous complaints about a drug house. After authorities executed the warrant, they found an unspecified amount of cash, marijuana, prescription pain medications and methamphetamine.

The charges listed on Vohs' indictment refer to drug activity between January and April. They range from trafficking in methamphetamine, to trafficking in drugs, to possession of methamphetamine, to possession of prescription drugs. Two of the seven counts are misdemeanors — one for drug possession and one for drug paraphernalia.

The three counts of drug trafficking include a juvenile specification, meaning he was selling drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile. Wade also has a juvenile specification attached to one of his charges.

Two of the charges include a juvenile specification.

All of Vohs' five felony charges include a money forfeiture specification. He had $208 on him when he was arrested that was allegedly made from selling drugs, according to his indictment.

Vohs is being held at the Muskingum County Jail on a $200,000 bond. Wade was held on a $150,000 bond.
