Drugs, cash found in Bucyrus home

Law enforcement authorities busted what appeared to be a large drug operation on Wingert Street in Bucyrus Wednesday.

Detectives from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, along with officials from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, searched a home at 802 Wingert St., and seized a large amount of prescription medications, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Two arrests were also made. Kyle Slone, 22, and Dallas J. Carroll, 19, both of that address, were initially charged with probation violation and were taken into custody. The sheriff’s office is continuing the investigation.

Also this week, police in Galion arrested Austen R. Barnette, of Kenton, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia. Barnette is being held in the Crawford County jail pending an appearance in county Municipal Court.
