Agencies remember Child Abuse Prevention Month
LANCASTER – In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, Fairfield County Child Protective Services is partnering with Harcum House to raise awareness of human trafficking.
On April 8, from 8:30to 10:30 a.m., CPS will host a Child Abuse Prevention Month Kick-Off Breakfast. The breakfast will take place in the Emergency Management Agency’s conference room in the Government Services Building and will include speaker Emily Dunlap, a Grief Fellow on juvenile trafficking at The Ohio State University, and a county proclamation announcement by the Fairfield County commissioners.
The agency will also host the annual candlelight walk to recognize abused and neglected children throughout the county at 6:30 p.m. April 23. The walk will begin at the Government Services Building and continue to the Zane Square Gazebo.
