Crews rescue pair trapped in burning car

BENNINGTON TOWNSHIP – Two people were taken to Grant Medical Center after being trapped inside a car that was on fire Monday evening on Johnstown-Utica Road NW.

An off-duty police officer called in the incident, according to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office.

A helicopter was put on standby but was ultimately not needed to transport the patients to the Columbus hospital.
