MINFORD – A pair of Portsmouth teens were killed in a two-vehicle crash around 10:15 p.m. Friday on Ohio 335 just south of Portsmouth Regional Airport.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, a 2004 Ford Ranger driven by Kris Conklin, 48, of Minford, was northbound on the road when it was struck by the southbound 2007 Chevy Avero driven by Paige Evans, 18, of Portsmouth, which had gone left of center. The impact ejected one of the three rear seat passengers of Evans’ vehicle while another passenger in the Evans vehicle died at the scene.

Paige Evans, 18, and Evan Bradley, 17, were identified as the two who were killed in the crash.

Conklin and two passengers in the Evans vehicle, Kyle Horsley, 18, and Ashley Fagan, 16, both of Portsmouth, were transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth with non-life threatening injuries. All three were later taken to a Columbus hospital.

Paige Evans and a fourth passenger in the vehicle, Olivia Evans, 17, were both airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia. Paige Evans died at the hospital while Olivia Evans was in critical condition Saturday morning.

The crash remains under investigation by the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
