Clyde's Heidi Marshall doesn't waste time.

The freshman joined teammate Kelsey Michaels as a first-team all-Sandusky Bay Conference selection for the Fliers, who finished second in the league.

"Heidi is very humble and unassuming, but she is very courageous on the floor," Fliers coach John Cahill said. "To step in at the point and play like she has says volumes about her character.

Margaretta's Dylan Bailey shoots against Port Clinton.

"Mark Rosche calls Kelsey "The Kid" in pregame and it's been true for three years. This year she's had to lead and she's really stepped into that role and embraced it."

Oak Harbor's Andrea Cecil also earned first-team status.

"On our team, we always talk about knowing your role and accepting your role," Cecil said. "Whether it's defensive, shooter or anything else. I believe my role is our go-to player and scorer. If there's a close game and not much time left, the coaches and the rest of the team want the ball in my hands."

The Fliers' Collin Rieman is first-team for the boys.

"My role on the team is to be a leader through my actions," Rieman said. "On the floor, I'm not super vocal, but I try to lead through my actions. If we're having trouble scoring or on the defensive end, I try to give us a spark to get us going through my play."

Margaretta's Dylan Bailey is also first-team.

"My role on the team is to be a leader, especially by example," Bailey said. "I was voted captain, which means guys trust me to lead them and I've been playing varsity my entire career. I've been in situations that not many guys have so they have a lot of confidence in me to go out there and get the job done when times get tough."

Oak Harbor’s Andrea Cecil tries to outrun a Bucyrus defender during the Rockets sectional game at Port Clinton on Saturday.

The Rockets' Maddy Rathbun and Clyde's Bree Dowling are second-team for the girls. The Fliers' Eric Wiseman and the Rockets' Tyler Sievert are second-team for the boys.

Clyde’s Collin Rieman is fouled as he shoots against Oak Harbor in January.

The Fliers' Morgan Bannister, Melissa Laconis and Makaylin Lozier, Margaretta's Alex Michel, Lexi Harvey and Kristen Yost, and Oak Harbor's Emma Barney, Athena Eli and Abby Dornbusch are honorable mention.

Clyde's Zach Rieman, Alex Marshall and Matt Webb, the Polar Bears' Tristan Scott, Angelo Frias and Adrian Protzman, and Oak Harbor's Deshawn Johnson, Paul Shay and Kalob Vargas are honorable mention.

Emily Ashley is player of the year for the girls after Port Clinton earned its first conference championship. Nick Stauffer is player of the year after Huron won the boys crown.
